The book is remarkable by the pragmatic analysis of Romanian legal system, taking a profit in the results of the research at national level. 4. Successful Law Practice and Transition Challenges. C.H. Beck Publishing, Bucharest, 2006.

In the case of a young lawyer that wishes to begin his career as business lawyer, I would firstly recommend to choose well the law office where he will work. Before he makes a decision, he should see what is the strategy of that company in what regards young lawyers, what are the promotion opportunities and who are the people who work there, what are their main principles? Then, after the choice is made, he should work hard, do more than they are asked for, because this is the only way they could grow in that company. They shouldn’t forget to learn every day, to read a specialty magazine, a book, to look over a website, anything. They should always remember that good professionals learn something new every day. And one important thing: they should not forget that, however, the clients need answers, practical and efficient solutions to their problems; they do not want theoretical works or scientific speeches. Finally, I would recommend the young lawyers to be natural, honest, not to seem something they are not, not to show-off, not to lie and, especially, to have passion for their career. If they will do it only for the money, as a lot of them already do, they will never be successful. They might become rich lawyers, but not successful lawyers.
